Today I'm grateful for my favorite holiday...which always includes family, friends, and my favorite meal of the year. And this was no exception. I am in Dallas (ish...Mansfield to be exact) at the home of Chris & Paaty Langois. Paaty is Maria's sister and they just had a little baby, Julia. So, we all bombarded them for the celebrating! Chris's parents, Dave and Marlene, are here. Maria and Paaty's parents, Guadalupe & Jovita, are here, as well as Their brother, Frank. Some of their friends joined us...David and Anna, Carlos, and Amara. All very wonderful people!
The highlight of the food is Jovita's salsa, but I am getting four recipes from Marlene who is an excellent cook.
I really miss Travis, but he is in good hands at my sister's.
