Matt - Canto 33

This post is dedicated to my fabulous brother, Matt.  It's his birthday today!!  There aren't enough words to describe how much I adore him, but I will use as many as I can.

My absolute most favorite thing to do with Matt is travel.  He is my travel soul mate...from the several page DETAILED itineraries to the rigid schedule so you don't miss ANYTHING.  And we try once a year to have a biggie:
2011 - West Coast Extravaganza (Utah, Montana, Idaho)
2010 - East Coast Extravaganza (Maine, Massachusetts, New York)
2009 - San Antonio, Texas in February and Seattle, WA in June
2008 - Caribbean for his wedding
2007 - Hawaii (Best Double Date I have ever been on)
2006 - I can't remember back that far, did we have any big trips/vacations?

Intelligent, Reflective, Thoughtful, Genuinely Kind

Matt is my favorite poet, author, comedian, singer, movie/food critic, doctor (even if I can't ever be treated by him), travel agent, partner in crime (though this hasn't happened since we were young at Christmas time, when we would cohort after Santa Claus came) and he's the first person I call.  For anything.  It feels like whatever is happening isn't real until Matt knows about it.

I appreciate every piece of advice, every cheap flight found, every laugh and his friendship.  I am grateful that he understands my OCD/control freak/older sister tendancies and loves me anyway.  My dream one day is that Matt, Nicole & I live in the same city, but until then I will await our next adventure.  Next up?  Thanksgiving in Texas!!
