Grateful Month - Day 23

There has been a fun thing going around on Facebook where someone gives you a number, and you have to say that many random things about yourself that people may not know.  Here's what I posted:

"I was given #9, so here's 9 random things about me (since I'm an open book, they probably aren't random things you didn't already know):
  1. I believe in trying new things and re-trying things, just in case. I used to despise mushrooms, even picked them out of jarred spaghetti sauce. But now I love them.
  2. My best friend, Scott, and I didn't like each other when we met. 13+ years later, here we are! Things just aren't real until he knows them.
  3. I try, but I can't meditate. I keep trying and someday my mind will quiet.
  4. I am obsessed with wind mills. I could stare at them all day. And bridges. And lighthouses.
  5. I won't eat black licorice, or red licorice mixed in a bag with black licorice. And I won't kiss Travis after he's eaten it. But black licorice ice cream is my most favorite!!!
  6. Every city I travel to, I check for a Melting Pot. And eat there if they have one. I've been to 7.
  7. I count random things...like how many different Melting Pot restaurants I've been to. My list app is ridiculous.
  8. I am deeply affected by the kind of music I listen to. It really impacts my mood. That's why I have minimal country and heavy metal music.
  9. I believe in God. I believe that I am saved by grace through faith. I believe our purpose on earth is to give glory to Him.
Like this post and I'll give you a number and you can share random things about you!!"

I thought of some more to include in my journal of life:
  1. I am ambidextrous.
  2. I can spell ambidextrous without spell check.  But I can't spell restaurant for anything.
  3. I eat dill pickles on taco salad and in burritos.
  4. I can't donate blood so I grow out my hair and donate it.
  5. I don't have a "side of the bed". Travis and I switch all the time. When I travel I sleep on the side of the bed farthest from the door. Not that the extra 4 feet would make a difference. And our dogs switch kennels all the time too.  Poor Halo...she just gets what is left over.
  6. I never watch the news or read the newspaper.
  7. I have every WOW CD (it started in 1996).
I am grateful for a medium to record these random bits of information about myself.  It's fun to go back and read.
