Ode to Girl's Day. I am blessed with a BFF that is a tom boy, yet is raising a girly girl. Which means while Travis, Kristie and Drew do boring hunting, fishing, outdoors-y, yucky boy stuff (today it was reloading shells) I get to spend the day with Emrie. Our girl's days are epic. Today we went to Trés Chic, my friend Sandy's salon. Nic came with us and we had a blast getting mani/pedi's. Then we went to lunch and braved the Black Friday craziness (which wasn't bad at all) for errands and then went to Barnes and Noble. We normally write in our journals, but today we put the tabs on Emrie's bible. She was so excited. Here are some pics from today:

And then there's this gem. Kristie is at the top of my gratitude list ALWAYS. She is such a great friend. I remember her saying once, when we first became friends 14+ years ago, that once she was your friend she was always your friend. I didn't quite understand that at the time, but she is wicked loyal. And that statement has come in handy for me as I'm sure I've been a big pill sometimes. Especially when I whoop her at Canasta, our favorite game. Though, this time around she kicked my butt! I'm so glad they made the drive over here to spend time with us for my sacred holiday. Thanks for the laughs, for keeping my secrets, the many hours in the car to come visit, the amazing children that bless us with every minute of their presence, the book suggestions, allowing me to be my picky, opinionated, loud, OCD self. You are one of the strongest, most courageous people I know and you constantly inspire me. I can't wait to see what the future holds for our families, and I just love you!
