From the Past

I started this in January 2016. Thought I'd post as is:

Whenever I sit down to journal, I never can think of anything to say.  But when I'm driving, or sitting in church, or somewhere else where I can't write, I can think of a novel to write!  I thought today, I'd just start writing and see what happens.

I noticed I didn't finish my grateful month.  First year since I started doing it.  I've been in a journal paralysis lately.  I want to share, I want to document so I remember, and for the life of me, I can't figure out my hesitation or resistance.  It's my prayer that changes, as I really see value in it and love to.

My life is amazing right now (well, most of the time it is!)  In August, I accepted a job with DIRECTV and we moved to Denver.  It's a dream come true for me.  God showed us the way, the entire process was obviously God's will.  I am the Vendor Manager for Asurion, our protection plan call type. I was away from DIRECTV for 4 years.  Everything is the same, yet everything is different. I love what I do, I love my team, I have a great boss and I look forward to work everyday.  I get to travel a lot.  From August 24, my first day, to the end of year 2015, I went to 10 call centers, to San Antonio twice to see Matt & family, and went to Missoula to drive with Travis to Denver when he was done with hunting season.

Travis and I are participating in a 21 day of fasting and prayer at church.  I'm fasting from social commitments (that is super hard!) and he is fasting from bread.  I've been getting up at 5am so I can be to church at 6am for an hour of prayer and worship.  Tomorrow it's at 9am (but getting up at 8am on a Saturday- only Jesus!)  Travis attended with me until he left for Kansas to be a hunter (first time in quite some time). He'll join me again when he gets home.  It's been a blessing and a challenge.  The devil is not happy that we're doing this.  And he's trying everything he can to prevent us from going!
