Grateful Month - Day 3

I am so grateful for YouTube.  I really miss my church family at Jesus Community Church in Stevensville, MT and stay as connected as I can.  On my commute to work, I listen to Pastor Glenn's sermons on YouTube and he's been teaching a series on a Biblical perspective on money.

I've seen first had the blessings that come from tithing and giving and had a big one happen today.  I never knew the "right or wrong" way to calculate the 10% for tithing, if it was supposed to be on my gross or net income.  Well, first means first and now I understand the Biblical teaching on it and the first thing I did at work today was change my automatic deduction to reflect that and tithe off my gross income.

I went about my day and late this afternoon, I went to my bank online and there was an extra $300 more reflected in my balance.  Since Travis is in Montana, I checked to see if it was due to a deposit he made.  Nope.  It was God.  I can't explain it, I only know there is $300 more today than there was yesterday.

Ever since I did the Financial Peace University class with Kari, I do most of my transactions in cash so there is very little activity monthly that goes on in our account.  It's super easy to keep track of my online banking (which is another thing I'm super grateful for!) and I am certain that with big faith and generous giving comes many blessings.  It may not be as soon as this one.  It may not always be in the form of increasing a bank account balance.  But it will always be better than we imagine because it comes from God!  Test it for yourselves.  He wants you to!  Malachi 3:10.
