The Ups and Downs of the Spoiled and Unemployed

Not in any particular order:

Up:  I get to spend time with my sister - we've had lots of sister/friend dates with Kari and her sisters and lots of time with our hubbies.
Up:  Lazy days at home, cooking for Trav, e.g., his famous fish where he said "Wow, it's nice to have someone cook that for me!" [usually he cooks it, but I followed him once and got the "recipe"]
Down:  Needing insurance for the dentist when you don't have insurance. And isn't that always the case?  When you don't have it is when you need it the most?
Up:  Spending the whole day with my dad.  If I had been working that would have been more challenging.
Up:  Movies in the afternoon while you all are at work!
Down:  Composing a new poem in a lengthy email only to find it didn't send and wasn't saved.  Commenced rewrite.
Up:  Composing a new poem!
Up:  Lunch dates with Nikki.
Down:  Not being challenged enough.  Though some of my cooking has been a challenge.  HAHA  (See salsa recipe entry below - jar tongs on the way!)
Up:  Sleeping in.
Down:  Sleeping In (not a practical habit to get into!)
Down:  I miss working.
Up:  More time for blogging!

  1. The only root canal I have ever needed/had done was during the 9 month period in my life when I did not have dental insurance. Nine months out of more than 30 years and that's when I needed a root canal. And those can't really wait. I like that you have more time for blogging ;-)
