Update: Is it really salsa?

While cooking the salsa, I tasted it at various stages.  The only thing I was unsure of was how the lime juice at the end would taste (though I knew it would be good).

Then, using it in a dish was a whole new story.  I poured it over chicken breasts and baked it...thinking I would have a Mexican themed dinner.  No. No.  It was Italian.  The texture was more like marinara sauce!  It was very delicious but NOT salsa.  :)  Perhaps less tomato paste.  LOL

So, now I will add oregano or Italian seasoning and make Chicken Parmesan with it.

Overall success, but a completely different product.
