Favorite Word: Fortuitous. “Adjective 1). happening or produced by chance; accidental: a fortuitous encounter. 2). lucky; fortunate: a series of fortuitous events that advanced her career.” Courtesy of our friends at dictionary.com
Favorite Day: 4th of July. I slept in. Well, sort of. I was awake at 830a (WTH?) but snoozed until noon. Then I hung out with my friend, Mary. We went shopping and to a late lunch at Sweet Ginger by Cherry Creek Mall. They have really delicious sushi. Then I spent the evening at the movies. I saw “People Like Us” and “Seeking a Friend for the End of the World”. Both were very good. Not recommended repeat movies, but I’m glad I saw them.
Favorite Facebook: Jamie Foxx. He posts some of the funniest nonsense. That I love. Like “I still think 1990 was 10 years ago” LOL!
Favorite Restaurant: Shanahan’s Steakhouse. It’s off of I25 & Belleview in Denver, and O.M.G. times a meelion. It might even be better than Ruth’s Chris, but it’s by far the best in the Denver. The service was incredible, the food was even better, and I’m still drooling over the creamed corn.
Favorite Bite: 1130pm…in bed…Lemon Shortbread from Shanahan’s. We took desert to go and ate it while watching the Olympic trials. FUN!! So naughty – didn’t follow the health plan that day. But sometimes you gotta splurge.
Favorite Book: When You Were Mine by Rebecca Serle – easy, mindless read, but a charming story.
"In this intensely romantic, modern recounting of the greatest love story ever told, Romeo’s original intended—Juliet’s cousin Rosaline—tells her side of the tale.
What’s in a name, Shakespeare? I’ll tell you: Everything.
Rosaline knows that she and Rob are destined to be together. Rose has been waiting for years for Rob to kiss her—and when he finally does, it’s perfect. But then Juliet moves back to town. Juliet, who used to be Rose’s best friend. Juliet, who now inexplicably hates her. Juliet, who is gorgeous, vindictive, and a little bit crazy...and who has set her sights on Rob. He doesn’t even stand a chance.
Rose is devastated over losing Rob to Juliet. This is not how the story was supposed to go. And when rumors start swirling about Juliet’s instability, her neediness, and her threats of suicide, Rose starts to fear not only for Rob’s heart, but also for his life. Because Shakespeare may have gotten the story wrong, but we all still know how it ends…" From Barnes and Noble Overview
