Friday Favorites

Favorite Facebook:  George Ira Carroll.  He’s controversial, HILARIOUS, and one of the most genuinely authentic people I’ve had the pleasure of meeting.  His awesomeness is all over facebook and I LOVE IT!

Favorite Twitter:  Anderson Cooper.  He’s been sharing a lot from Hurricane Isaac – I so admire that he goes toward adversity, and doesn’t coward away from it.  Well, that and he’s hot.

Favorite Day:   Do you ever have one of those days that is just perfect from beginning to end?  I had one of those days on Sunday.  I slept in, had a really good lunch and then spent the rest of the day with my friend, Mary.  We had fun shopping and just spending good quality time together. 

Favorite Surprise:  The Lady Gaga perfume doesn’t suck!  It’s actually awesome, and VERY reasonably priced.  Can you tell how amazing I smell?

Favorite Restaurant:  La Sandia.  Their guacamole is THE BEST anywhere and I’d be able to duplicate it exactly if I could figure out how to make my own habanero paste.  Guacamole should be its own food group its so good.  La Sandia is, by far, my most favorite Mexican restaurant.  I went there last night with Trista and we just had a ball.  I am very blessed to have such good friends.

Favorite Way To Be Spoiled:  I hired a web designer, Ben Winter.  He is SO talented and I already have a logo. Being in business for myself is a fantastic adventure and I've met some of the most wonderful people along the way.

Favorite Dessert:  Spring Fling Cake from The Market in Denver.  I can’t decide on my favorite dessert of all time, but this is by far my favorite cake.  And I can’t believe it took over 4 months of being here to enjoy it.  But enjoy it I did, I went there before dinner last Friday night.  :^)

Favorite Refreshment:  USANA Nutri-meal in dutch chocolate.  I have been blending it with milk, peanut butter and a banana, but while in NYC, Nicole and I just used one of those blender bottles and water.  It’s TASTY all by itself.  And the easiest thing I’ve ever had for breakfast.

Favorite Bite:  Lobster Mac ‘N’ Cheese from Capital Grille in Denver.  Across the street from The Market, it looked as good a place as any to have dinner.  Then, I took a bite of this.  It is on my bucket list to have a grilled cheese sandwich with my friend Kissy at FoxFire Farm, that’s how much I love cheese (and my friend, Kissy) but this dish puts all other cheese dishes TO SHAME!

Favorite Movie:  Beasts of the Southern Wild.  http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2125435/  I’ve never seen anything like it.  And it’s for that uniqueness that I loved this movie.  Sure, it had some odd moments, and some really uncomfortable moments, but the overall concept of life and connection, and it’s visually stunning cinematography puts it in my top 10 of the year.  Oscar anyone?

Favorite Song:  Chasing the Sun by The Wanted.  http://itunes.apple.com/us/album/chasing-the-sun/id518518043?i=518518045 Saw them live and they are just darling.  Still a little hung over from boy band extravaganza!

Honorary Favorite Songs:  When I had dinner with Stephanie, she gave me a copy of the Lumineers CD.  I LOVE it.  The only thing wrong with it?  It’s not long enough! J  Thanks friend!

Favorite Thing To Do:  Hanging out with friends.  Plans every day/night this week!!  I got to spend some wonderful time with Mary, JD, Steph, Stacey, and Trista.  Much love to all of my friends and family in Denver.  Til next time!  I will miss your faces!
