Friday Favorites

Favorite Day:  Every single one this week. Sat was a fabulous dinner with Mandi...my dear friend from high school. Was so happy to meet her wonderful, hilarious husband, Ryan. Could have talked for days!! Sun was dinner with Nic&Ben at Marie's (the best Italian I've ever had and it's less than 10 miles from my house)! Mon was outdoors day. The 4 of us went to Skalkaho Falls area, my favorite outdoor spot anywhere, for fishing, relaxing and a great picnic. Tues was "honey-do" day. I love to clean and organize my house. Unpacking after being away for five months was an all day project and my sweetie was so good to help. Wed was lunch with Nikki and book club with Andrew, Bill and KJ. Have missed those guys!!! Travis crashed both, but I loved that he was there. Thurs I spent the day with Trav, lunch and a movie. And today we drove to eastern Montana where he guides. So good to see Carl & Linda, Jackie and Katie!

Favorite Surprise:  My contract with Jeppesen is being extended, I'll be working on a different project. It starts 9/17 so I'll have a week at home with no obligation. Oh, the gift of time!

Favorite Restaurant:  Marie's Italian. They are only open in the summer months, then they return it Italy for the winter. Authentic Italian, where they serve different specials every night (and by every night, I mean only Fri-Sun). Reservations only and no party bigger than 6. Go on Fri or Sat and you will be serenaded!!

Favorite Quote:  “Wake up and be awesome!"

Favorite Way To Be Spoiled:  I don't know which is better. Turning off the alarm because you don't need it the next day, or waking up with no alarm?!?!

Favorite Dessert:  Big Dipper ice cream. So good to be home!

Favorite Bite:  Our picnic. It's.the.best.ever!!!

Favorite Book:  Haven't read much this week. Still reading, "Lords of Discipline” by Pat Conroy.

Favorite Movie:  I only saw one, Dark Knight Rises. It was NOT my favorite. It was SO violent, and yes, I did a self-check...would I feel that way if the Aurora shooting hadn't happened? Yes. I would. It was nearly 3 hours and if they took out all of the fighting, it would have been a really good hour and a half movie!!

Favorite Song:  The Lioness Hunt from The Lion King (Original Broadway Cast Recording). This may very well be my favorite song of the year!

Favorite Thing To Do:  Porch dwell. Lovely evenings spent at home this week after all the socializing.

Favorite Thing To Look Forward To:   I don't have a single thing planned. No flight is booked, waiting for me to check in. No trips at all. What is next????
