Friday Favorites

Favorite Facebook:  Catherine Greco.  She is a gem.  Love her writing so much.  And now she has a blog!  Wahoo!  Check it out (to the right where I have other bloggers that I stalk):  Adventures of The Crazy Old Broad.

Favorite Twitter:  Cory Booker.  He’s the mayor of Newark, NJ and (dang, if he'd ever be interested, I predict) a future POTUS.

Favorite Day:  Today!  It’s time for pinochle with the seniors!  LOVE THEM!

Favorite Surprise:  I didn’t die from not eating at a restaurant for days.  My reset is almost done and surprisingly, I feel great!

Favorite Restaurant:  Noodles Express.  First place I plan on frequenting when my reset is done!  My favorite dish is approved on our "road to good health" plan.

Favorite Dessert:  I haven’t had any.  And I’m okay with that!

Favorite Refreshment:  Just good ‘ole H2O.

Favorite Bite:  Desperado’s Hot Wings.  I devoted an entire blog entry to these doozies.  ‘nough said.

Favorite Book:  Still no reading.  Must fix that next week.

Favorite Movie:  The Words.  http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1840417/ I think Jeremy Irons is a genius.  I need to see this again asap.  I don’t really understand the ending.  And I have no clue who Olivia Wilde’s character is.  His student?  A stalker?  Just an antagonist?  Commence rewatch.  All that said, I loved the premise, I loved the actors, I loved the cinematography.  I loved the historical references.  Highly recommend.

Favorite Song:  I cannot get enough of the Lion King soundtrack.  It’s all I’ve listened to for 2 weeks.   I really do hope each and every one of you get to see this amazement with your very own eyes so the music can be as joyful, triumphant and awesome to you as well!

Favorite Thing To Do:  Bein’ lazy.  And I’ve had a whole week of it.  Time to get back to work next week, but dang I’ve enjoyed my days of naps, organization projects, DVR watching, porch dwelling and playing with my dogs.

Favorite Thing To Look Forward To:   Sundays.  Nicole & I are going to do recipes for our cook book each week and hopefully get it done soon.  I can’t remember if I’ve talked about our cookbook.  So I apologize for the duplicity.  It’s tentatively called “Cooking Misadventures” because inevitably something is left out of a new recipe you want to or directions are unclear and you have mishaps.  We have recipes like, “Blacken The Chicken (Not The Apartment) Pasta” and “You’re Gonna Need 9 Bowls To Make This Freezer Jam”.  We don’t have a crew, fancy cameras or someone to pretty up the plates.  But we have some AWESOME family recipes to include and some good story telling.

Favorite Photo:  THIS face.
