Favorite Facebook: Mina
Chen. She posts pictures of Hawaii
sunsets, she swims with dolphins and though it hasn’t been for a while, takes the
best food photos I’ve ever seen.
Favorite Twitter: Huffington
Post. It’s real news, you know.
Favorite Day: I’ve loved this whole week. I am very blessed!
Favorite Restaurant: Noodles
Express. Again. I went there 3 times this week. YUM times a gazillion.
Favorite Quote: You are who your friends are. I think it’s by Jack Canfield.
Favorite Dessert: Our family’s homemade fudge sauce. So delicious over vanilla ice cream. In moderation, of course.
Favorite
Refreshment: Heaven Latte from
Florence Coffee Company. Nothing like it
anywhere.
Favorite Bite: I made my own pizza. It rocked my face off.
Favorite Book: I
forgot that while I was in Eastern Montana, I read half of our next book club
book, “The Magicians” by Lev Grossman. “Like everyone else, precocious high school
senior Quentin Coldwater assumes that magic isn't real, until he finds himself
admitted to a very secretive and exclusive college of magic in upstate New
York. There he indulges in joys of college-friendship, love, sex, and booze-
and receives a rigorous education in modern sorcery. But magic doesn't bring
the happiness and adventure Quentin thought it would. After graduation, he and
his friends stumble upon a secret that sets them on a remarkable journey that
may just fulfill Quentin's yearning. But their journey turns out to be darker
and more dangerous than they'd imagined. Psychologically piercing and
dazzlingly inventive, The Magicians is an enthralling coming-of-age
tale about magic practiced in the real world-where good and evil aren't black
and white, and power comes at a terrible price.” -Barnes and Noble Overview
Favorite Movie: Arbitrage. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1764183/
I just found myself rooting for the bad guy.
And I SO wonder what happened to these characters after the movie ended.
Favorite Song: I
promise I will stop talking about The Lion King album. So in order to do that, I had to force myself
to find other music to listen to. It
wasn’t until I saw “End of Watch” that I found my favorite song for the week. It was played during the final scene. And it was before midnight on Friday, so it
counts. The song is Sgt. MacKenzie by Joseph
MacKenzie. It’s not on the “End of Watch”
soundtrack, but it can be found on the “We Were Soldiers” soundtrack. http://itunes.apple.com/us/album/sgt.-mackenzie/id186212565?i=186213905
Favorite TV Episode: I
have left this out on purpose recently because I have watched an ungodly amount
of TV these last few weeks. I should be
embarrassed about it, but I’m not. My
favorite episode was the finale of Weeds.
*weeps* I have loved that
outrageous show for 8 years (not even sure how that happened). I’m very sad to see it go.
Favorite TV Finale:
Because I was gone this summer when most seasons ended, I’ve been
catching up – Blue Bloods, The Borgias, Episodes, Franklin & Bash, The Glee
Project, The Mentalist, Best Thing I Ever Made (on the Food Network), So You
Think You Can Dance (when Travis is home), Inside The Actors Studio, Most of the
OWN network, and the best finale is hands down Person of Interest. Edge of my seat, and my heart was pounding
the whole hour.
Favorite Thing To Do: Go to
lunch with friends. It was so good to
see you, Paige!
Favorite Thing To Look Forward To: Our friend, Candice, is getting married
tomorrow. It will be so great to share
her special day and I can’t wait to catch up with good friends. And Travis will be home from hunting in time
to go!
