Since we moved in, I've been trying to grow a lilac bush.  This little guy was the 4th one we planted and it's lived!!

I couldn't decide on just one!!

I love our house. I feel like that my "home" is wherever Travis is, but I really do love where we hang our hats.  We moved in 10/08/06 - I only remember that because it was on my birthday.  I actually did all the paperwork to buy it before Travis even stepped foot into it (now THAT is trust and love!)  He saw pictures and liked the description of it. I knew (after looking at 35+ houses with the realtor and my friend, Lurisa) as soon as we pulled into the driveway that it was where I wanted to live. 

We'd only been in a few days when the doorbell rang.  A cute, 9- year old Nani, said, "Hi.  Do you have any kids?"  I said, "Oh, honey, I'm sorry.  We don't.  We have dogs."  She said, "K. Bye." and left just as fast as she came.  SO adorable.  She's now driving up and down the lane and her family is the best. We really do have the greatest neighbors. Grateful to call them friends.

We haven't had a bit of trouble with it (well, except a finicky septic system and a few missing shingles from the roof because of the wind).  I'm certain we got our retirement home about 30 years too early, but I couldn't be happier!

It has been the site of many parties.  Lots of food, friends, beer, games, and fun.  It's really because of the people that frequent it that makes it so special.  Thanks for the memories, everyone!!
