Something you believe.
I believe in the power of prayer. I have seen God move in mighty ways with answered prayer. I can't believe the things I have now because I prayed for them in the past (see previous post about being a leader - I did pray for that. While sitting in Jesus Community Church in 2013, I prayed to be as valuable as the women leading me - Jeannie, Joan, Mary Lou, and yes, even Christi. Boy, did God ever answer that prayer!)
I also believe that God will answer prayers in ways we don't expect. Or ways that we understand. I prayed until I couldn't pray anymore that my cousin, Patrick, would live. He didn't. But he does live on in all of those who loved him. (It would humor him to know that I think of him everytime I'm in our home bathrooms: if it's yellow, let it mellow...if it's brown, flush it down! That water conserver!!!)
We are starting the practice of prayer in my small group in a couple of weeks (www.practicingtheway.org)
My prayer is that each and every one of us grows in our prayer life. For me, it will be about praying BIGGER and BOLDER. I can't wait to see what God does!!
