Something that you're proud of.
I am a leader.
I am a leader at work, a leader at church, a leader in my friend group, a leader in my family. I realized a few months ago just how much of a leader I really am and it was a bit scary. I didn't react well to it and repented. God has give me this gift and I'd rather be in His will than outside it.
So I embrace it.
And recently, I talked to my boss at work about getting my employee, Crystal, a promotion and a raise. She is currently a Business Analyst I and she is doing the work of a Business Analyst II. I had already started the process when she came to me about that very thing. It was real joy that I got to tell her that I was working on it.
She is an incredibly hard worker. But I have spent a lot of time with her, building her process knowledge, technical acumen and social acumen. I am very proud of the progress she's made.
I think one of the greatest things a leader can do is help people get to the place they want to be, fulfill their dreams, accomplish the goals they have. And I have done that with Crystal.
