Some Wisdom.
In church yesterday, Pastor Jim said this: "The odds of a young person loving Jesus and His Church as an adult is directly proportional to the number of adults they know who are not their parents."
This brought me to tears. Because, just yesterday, I picked up Chloe Shealy (10), Melody Serr (7), and Ratchanya John (7) to have a girl's weekend. We had lunch (at McDonald's and Chick-Fil-A so everyone could get what they want), got manicures and went to see Toy Story in the movie theater. We had slushies at home and a slumber party, complete with prayer and Bible reading.
When I was growing up, I had positive role models in my life that weren't my parents. Teachers, Aunts, Uncles, Friends' parents, and I just want to pass that on to the next generation.
