I can get annoyed.
I guess not all of this should be a "joy bomb". When I was in counseling a few years ago (after the family debacle of 2021), my counselor said that we aren't our full selves if we don't feel all the feels. I am very uncomfortable in the negative feelings. Then when I meet with my Spiritual Director, Tamara Murphy, she says the same thing. God created us in His likeness and He feels anger, frustration, sadness, etc.
So, those negative feelings annoy me, but I'm trying to embrace it. But what really annoys me is "news". When I was growing up, the news was on at 6pm and 10pm (or something like that) and if it was on one channel, it was on all four. We researched books in school. And while those books could be fallible, it was less likely than ALL of the places for "news" now. Social media, 24/7 streaming on hundreds of channels, how do I know what to believe? Unless I see it with my own eyes, or experience it for myself, I have a really hard time believing it.
And fifty years from now, how will history be taught? What resources will be used? What can be trusted?Goodness, what can I trust TODAY?
It's why I don't really pay attention to the news. I don't watch it, I don't have social media except pinterest and YouTube...and my algorithms are puppies, Bible, comedians, and recipes.
