So, I am not a traditional
“emotional” eater. When I receive not so great news (like I did today),
the last thing I want to do is eat. That’s the good news. The bad
news is I’m an emotional eater when there is a fun event/get
together/travel involved. I was raised in a very loud, boisterous,
affectionate, loving family. Extended family parties were always around
the dinner table (holidays, summer BBQs, etc.) and I associate good
times with good food. I’m so grateful I don’t turn to food in time of
sadness, frustration, anger, or helplessness.
