SO much has happened with my spiritual directors concept. Met with Yvonne and Marie on 1/27. We came up with the name "Tribe of Mentors" and talked about what it would look like. We planned our next 3 monthly meetings and discussed a prayer retreat. We came up with tenants and the basic steps to keep up on our spiritual disciplines. So important for a group like this. We had an amazing time of prayer and fellowship.
THEN
A few days later, Yvonne said she couldn't be a part of it anymore. Whoa. That was a shocker because of how obvious God was about the whole thing!
So, it's just been Marie and I. I think I went through all the steps of grief. I came to the conclusion that it's all God's will, I just have to adjust my expectations and align with Him.
Fast forward to now. Yvonne left Summit Church, too! I have tried reaching out to her to see if she is okay, the devil has a habit of isolating people, and to maybe understand - she was such a key member of our church! But no response. So I just pray for her. Maybe she was just in my life for a season. Boo.
And now I pray for who else God will bring into our group.
