I’ve dreamed about this since I was in the 5th grade when I did my school project on France.
Travis & I have saved for it twice, both times using it for other trips (Matt & Maria’s wedding in St. Lucia and our East Coast Extravaganza Spectacular Spectacular).
Then on May 24, my dream started coming true.
It was very sweet. Matt interrupted my small group to ask me if I wanted to come. He got choked up as he told me that he had a medical conference there and it would be all expenses paid. I’m glad I was sitting down like he asked me to do.
It happens to be at the same time that I was going to Montana with Travis to start guiding, and to see Emrie. So, I did delay overnight giving my answer, but after Travis pointed out that I can go to MT anytime, it was an easy yes.
How do I accept a gift like this? How do I not?
Then the planning commenced. First class (lay down beds for the red eye) flights, hotel link shared: Hotel du Collctionneur Paris and my reviewing my PARIS dream list and my Pinterest board. I also researched international travel, weather, etc. Then the itinerary came through text (Matt’s typical paper list) and discussions about what I’d like to do (Versailles and a perfume class where I create my own perfume along with all the touristy things)!
We’re leaving Saturday (Aug 26-Sept 3).
Our Itinerary
I plan to post everyday so I can remember as many details as possible. I got very inspired by my cousin Patrick. I was looking for a blog I used to follow (which are listed here) and I found his travel blogs. They are amazing and I can copy him and replicate what he did here.
